Sometimes in life we can feel stuck and unable to find a way forward. It can be lonely or dark, frustrating or sad and often when we are here it may be hard to seek help. Counselling could offer you the chance for change. We cannot go back and change our past, but we can use it to inform how we are in the now and how we want to be in the future.
I can offer you a safe space to explore the past, present or future and can help you understand how you have got to where you are today and how to make the changes you want going forward. Counselling is an opportunity to be listened to without judgement, prejudice or agenda and to feel valued for the unique person you are. When we feel understood by another person we can start to value ourselves and open up the possibility of growth and change.
So, whether you know what is troubling you or just feel something isn’t quite right, there is help at hand. I draw on my training as an integrative counsellor, working in the areas of person-centred and psychodynamic therapies to tailor my methods to your needs. But I also use my own life experiences that brought me to want to become a counsellor.
I know it can feel daunting to take the first steps to change, but you won’t be alone, we can work this out together.

What You Can Expect From Me...
I offer an initial one hour consultation at half price to give us an opportunity to see if we can work together, and for you to ask any questions you may have.
It is also a chance for me to understand what has brought you to counselling and to look at what expectations and goals you may have. If you decide you’d like us to work together, we will then agree a regular appointment time and day and I will send you any relevant information outlining how we will work together going forward.
Long and short term therapy is available. We will reguarly assess how effective you believe the sessions are, and how much progress is being made.
About me
I am a fully qualified Counsellor registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) . I have experience in working with young people (aged 15+) and adults. My qualification in Integrative counselling means that I can draw on both of the main modalities of psychotherapy (person centred and psychodynamic theories) to tailor a unique way of working with you.
I am a Mother of 3 teen to adult daughters and have a keen interest in the mental health of 15–25-year-olds. Having worked with this age group I believe that it is so important for young people to also feel listened to with understanding and to foster good self-esteem and resilience in them. This is not exclusive to young people, and I advocate this for everyone I work with.
I have a background in working in a corporate environment and running my own business. I can also draw on my own varied life experiences. I am fascinated with society, culture and communities and how they relate to our sense of self and belonging and try to use this understanding to really see the differences and the similarities in all people.
I have great faith in the human capacity to heal and grow. My desire is to support you in understanding yourself better, giving you the time, space and belief that you can make the changes to your life you hope for, whilst being kind to yourself in the now.
